Managing a c.£1bn RCF residential scheme in central London

About Our Client
Our client is an international property developer that has been operating in the UK market for many years and have an exceptional understanding of the UK building regulations. They are currently heavily invested in a couple of high profile residential schemes in London and are currently looking to hire an experienced construction project manager who can help ensure the successful delivery of all projects.
Active team member in achieving the development goals.
Develop a strategy to meet project goals by establishing the high level drivers around programme, logistics, and procurement and on site delivery.
Working directly with project managers for procurement and design delivery.
Leading tender process, including sourcing contractors, meeting out to tender date, evaluation of tender return, and placement of contract.
Assisting Senior Project Manager and Senior Cost Manager in developing the procurement strategy, in order to meet the group requirements of cost, programme, and risk appetite.
Assisting with cost plan formation, operational reporting against cost plan, managing changes in cost plan during scheme development and identifying cost saving opportunities.
Develop construction logistics strategy, build sequence, access for construction and understanding 3rd party property rights.
Identifying operational constraints of the development and feeding information into the design development process and into the building contract documents.
Delivering early ground investigation reports and studies required to de-risk the development project including ground testing, probing, structure monitoring, and precondition surveys, contamination testing, and archaeological surveys.
Recruiting, building and managing a team of in-house assistant project managers/coordinators and clerk of works in the construction and delivery focus.
Managing the contractors including reporting of progress against contract, measuring and managing KPIs and ensuring client risk is understood during build.
Responsible for ensuring best practice in safety is lead from the client team through the supply chain and onto the construction site.
Reporting Health and Safety measures are reported monthly to senior management.
Writing and agreeing the group risk strategy, covering all areas of business risk that they development is subject to.
The Successful Applicant
RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION EXPERIENCE MANDATORY.
In order to be considered you must have a strong residential construction background. You must be able to demonstrate a track record in having delivered high profile and complex residential construction projects in London.
End-to-end experience of working on a large scale, residential construction project.
Experience with Section 106 agreements.
Proven ability to manage all stakeholders from construction through to planning and senior management.
Ability to chair meetings on-site and consultation.
A similar experience with a well known house builder will also be taken in serious consideration.
MCIOB/MRICS are preferable but not essential.
