The firm spends a large amount of time and resources on international expansion and building market presence. This is demonstrated in the hugely geographical nature of the contentious construction work the firm does.
You would report directly to two industry leading partners who will provide support and assistance when necessary whilst also enabling the successful candidate to work individually on engaging projects.
You will be involved in all manners of construction, infrastructure and project disputes for a range of clients.
The client base includes acting for and against construction professionals, employers and contractors on a mix of transport, engineering, energy and infrastructure projects in the UK and around the world. In particular EMEA and Asia Pacific.
The role will involve a good mix of high court litigation, arbitration and adjudication for a range of clients. These skills are must have. There will also be an element of risk and project advisory.
The role offers the opportunity to supervise a junior solicitor whilst also working on complex, high ticket disputes with a large degree of autonomy. The current partners are in the enviable position of having numerous client instructions and a technically gifted lawyer is needed to help with the quality of work, whilst upholding the level of service the firm is renowned for.

Contentious Construction Senior Associate - London
Construction disputes experience
Trained at a leading City or Regional legal practice
6+ PQE (guideline)
Significant experience in the NEC & FIDIC form of contract.
Working knowledge of the TCC and adjudication is essential. Arbitration experience also very advantageous and exposure to international rules such as ICC, LCIA and UCTA would be beneficial.
Ability to manage a small team and support career development.
Good knowledge of technical construction and claim preparation will be a significant advantage.

£90,000 - £110,000 dependent on experience + bonus + benefits
