Job Description

Contract Manager

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and promotion of a robust contract management framework which is aligned to and underpins the Strategic Direction of the Trust
  • Proactive management of an allocated portfolio of Trust contracts to ensure organisational contract compliance
  • The post holder will lead and coordinate the Trusts annual contract negotiation process with its commissioners for their allocated portfolio
  • Regular review and re-negotiation of contracts with commissioners, as required, this will include working with Care Group leads to ensure thorough preparation and attendance at meetings to ensure a contract presence.
  • Develop new and maintain existing relationships within Care Groups and corporate departments at appropriate levels to ensure that any relevant service delivery or contract compliance issues are escalated quickly
  • Coordinate responses and produce documentation in the event of any relevant consultations or contractual disputes
  • Lead on drafting, agreeing and implementing sub-contracts with providers to ensure contractual robustness and monitor the provider's compliance with the terms of the contract
  • Collaborative working alongside the Finance Team to ensure contract costings are correct and cover the entire costs to the Trust of providing the service
  • Producing and presenting written and verbal reports on contractual performance to various forums as and when required
  • The post holder will provide quality, comprehensive and professional contract management advice, and support to the Trust

  • Strong experience working in a Contract Management role
  • Possesses the ability to work independently and as a team
  • Responds well to change and can overcome obstacles
  • Can evidence the ability to improve services / processes
  • Lives in South Yorkshire - in commutable distance to Doncaster
