Our Client is a Global Provider of Software to Commerce and industry which facilitates the management and recording of payments and transfers of money.

Job Description

The role supports the delivery of the global contracts management strategy by developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers to ensure the the business achieves the best service and value from contracts. The role involves all aspects of legal and contractual management, including but not limited to drafting and negotiations, contractual administration, legal and compliance review. The role provides the business with an understanding of the risks associated against the existing and new contractual, legal and regulatory obligations.

The successful candidate will manage and carry out all (customer and supplier) contractual negotiations (including commercials where necessary), including reviewing, drafting, and ensuring necessary approvals are secured in accordance with internal approvals and governance procedures

The role holder will:

  • Manage the full supplier and customer contract lifecycle as well as proactively respond to requests for assistance, information, and interpretation of contracts to all stakeholders and provide advice on commercial and legal risks.
  • Work with the relevant teams to understand project scope and/or business requirements to ensure this is properly interpreted in contracts and liaise with Account Managers to ensure timely delivery of legal and contractual requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders on services/software sourcing projects to attain the best pricing for the business whilst providing advisory services on all aspects of contract.
  • Provide contract summaries and ensure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant stakeholders to provide contract visibility, awareness, and applicability to each team to ensure contractual compliance post signature.
  • Monitor compliance with the contractual requirements (e.g milestones, deliverables, invoicing etc.) and ensure that suppliers continue to meet minimum security/compliance/company policies and standards.
  • Oversee Service Level Agreement negotiations and compliance post signature and provide summaries to relevant stakeholders.
  • Communicate and organise contract extensions and/or renewals as well as ensure that contracts are issued, executed, and filed accordingly.
  • Keep and maintain accurate contract records and documentation (e.g. such as receipt and control of all contractual correspondence, contractual changes etc.).
  • Create guidance, templates and other reference materials and proactively contribute to the development and maintenance of procedures, tools and templates for legal and contract management processes
  • Report to Head of Legal on any issues with customer or supplier compliance with contract terms, commitments, and notifications and also keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments and any changes to the business activities and report to Head of Legal

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years proven experience in either contract, procurement or legal discipline or environment, preferably in an FCA regulated business or Information Technology sector reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts (preferably technology related).

Mandatory skill set:

  • Advance knowledge of Risk Management, Financial Crime Regulations, and Information Security
  • Excellent knowledge of GDPR and UK GDPR
  • Good understanding of the ISO27001 standard requirements
