Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Contracts Manager to join our client. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the performance of a key contract, ensuring financial success, health and safety compliance, environmental responsibility, and adherence to quality standards. This position is based on the Kent/South East London border and involves managing a small, dedicated team.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Contract Performance: Oversee all aspects of contract to ensure successful delivery, meeting objectives, and exceeding client expectations.

  • Financial Management: Manage contract budgets, track financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and revenue growth.

  • Health and Safety: Implement and monitor health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all team members and compliance with industry standards.

  • Environmental Compliance: Drive adherence to environmental regulations and sustainability goals, promoting responsible waste management practices.

  • Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain procedures to ensure the highest standards of service delivery and compliance with quality benchmarks.

  • Team Management: Lead and motivate a small team, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.

  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, addressing concerns promptly, and identifying opportunities for additional services.

  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on contract performance, analyse data, and provide insights to improve operational efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience in contracts management, preferably in the waste management or water industry.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.

  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and environmental compliance.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.

  • Familiarity with the water industry and its regulatory environment is a plus.
