About Our Client
Our Client is a multinational tool machinery & manufacturing engineering business.
The key responsibility with this role is to provide legal advice in a variety of areas to the Group with focus on the UK-business.
You will serve as a business facilitator by managing the agreement process in a variety of cross boarder commercial transactions including: sales, service, rental, purchase, distribution, software, joint development,IPR, confidentiality, financing, real estate purchase and lease.
Such support includes serving as an expert advisor on the correct allocation of risk and to create commercially valid solutions.
In addition you will:
- Work with compliance and corporate governance
- Managing the legal part of international transactions including M&A
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be a UK qualified or common law qualified solicitor with substantial post qualification experience (at least eight years and most likely over ten years).
You will have worked in an in house organisation and have a wide ranging skill set out outside of the core of commercial contracting which this role has (corporate experience, including M&A is also emphasised).
Experience of international transactions is key - You will need to have the ability to handle a variety of issues in several countries simultaneously - manage sales from UK entities to third parties based in other jurisdictions.
