This accountancy practice is undergoing positive growth, both as a combined result of organic growth and successful mergers, across the South East. The firm and role offers a clear defined career progression path on offer, along with high quality, challenging and interesting tax project work working with very wide ranging businesses.

Job Description

Joining the Medway team as Corporate Tax Manager, you will carve a key role in this firms tax team and department, taking a lead on preparing compelx computations and providing advice along with significant involvement on the delivery of wide ranging corporate tax projects. Examples of some of the project work you may have involvement with include:

Group restructuring and shareholder considerations, shareholder exits, including company purchase of own shares and access to Entrepreneurs Relief, preparing / reviewing clearance applications to HMRC in connection with corporation tax projects, preparing / reviewing EIS and SEIS Advance Assurance Applications and EIS 1 submissions. Application of TAAR in relation to shareholder exit strategies. Preparing / reviewing Profit Extraction calculations. Preparing / reviewing R&D claims, managing the submission of these claims to HMRC and keeping the client informed of the process. Share options, and further mergers and acquisitions involvement, due diligence and tax project work relating to corporate finance work.

You will also manage client relationships and financial aspects of client work including meeting billing targets and debtor collection as well as undertaking high level preliminary corporate tax reviews of tax computations prepared by the General Practice team. With positive ongoing growth across the firm, excellent prospects are on offer for career focused professionals looking for a career path on offer beyond management.

The Successful Applicant

You will either hold any of ATT, CTA, ACCA, ACA, with a background in tax, as a corporate tax specialist, or mixed tax professional, as an established Tax Manager , looking for that next step in your career or an experienced Senior or Supervisor looking for your next step,

You will have a background either delivering advisory and planning corporate tax projects, or from a mixed compliance and planning background. Your experience will have been gained in small, medium or large independent firm environment, or larger Top 50/Top Tier firm background and you will be looking for a key Tax Managerial position where you can carve a career, joining a highly successful, independent firm of chartered accountants in the North Kent region, with prospects for progression and career development in an environment where you can influence your future career path.

What's on Offer
