Job Description
Leading UK Law firm require a Data Analyst to join an expanding team to cover the full spectrum of data management and analysis, from accurate client reporting to collating performance data and using it to help define and optimise operational strategies.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, with day-to-day reporting to the Debt Recovery Managers, you will be a hands-on individual who is a natural problem solver with excellent data analytical skills to take on responsibility for all things 'data'.
Key responsibilities:
- Review the current data capture, reporting and overall use of data in the business
- Utilise SQL coding / querying and advanced Excel / VBA skills to manage, manipulate and analyse large data sets.
- Deliver the results under the direction of the Operational Management team
- Use performance data to help identify and highlight any debt recovery trends with particular clients, industries or the department as a whole
- Own and drive new KPIs, metrics and tools relevant to the collections business performance
- Recommend improvements and present findings as required by the Operational Management team
- Work with the Management team to identify ways in which data informs team strategy and ensures focus on total quality management
- Work with the Systems Development team where required to review data extraction and transferal
- Continually improve client reporting
- Ensure accuracy of data at all times
- Support the Business Development team with data requirements for clients, pitches and marketing
- Manage and deliver specific data-related projects for the business as required; and
- Take ownership of data management/analysis and be able to communicate information to different levels within the business.
Key Skills:
- Have experience of data analysis in a commercial setting
- Have experience in working with large data sets
- Possess excellent IT skills with the ability to produce informative reports
- Have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Have knowledge and experience of SQL
- Preferably have experience of working with Liberate
- Be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines; and
- Have great communication skills including the presentation of data and findings.
The Successful Applicant
- Have experience of data analysis in a commercial setting
