About Our Client

My client is one of the fastest growing and leading FMCG businesses across the globe. They have an iconic brand that is continuing to exceed customers expectations in the UK. They are seeking a demand planner for the growing supply chain team.

Job Description

The role works alongside the commercial, supply planning, customer service, NPD and projects teams. Ensure the latest finished goods demand plan is reflected in SAP and changes are well analysed, to drive system maintenance and forecast accuracy working with distribution partners and cross functional teams to ensure customer demand is met.
The role involves occasional travel within Europe. Key responsibilities include;

  • Process, analyse and track forecasts received from distribution partners and manufacturers to ensure MRP and supply planning are driven by the latest demand information.
  • Regularly check for slow moving and obsolete finished good risks, report and follow up by closely working with other functional teams
  • Proactively identify, communicate and follow up on significant trends and demand changes to achieve optimum finished goods and kit inventory holding within the network
  • Maintain forecast demand within SAP so the system holds the latest details and supports operational plans

The Successful Applicant

They are looking for a candidate who is passionate and enthusiastic, has a positive and proactive approach to work. The candidate will also need to;

  • 4 + years of the experience in planning (FMCG environment)
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong people and communication skills
  • Strong sense of urgency and of responsibility
  • Must be a team player and demonstrate successful experience working in a cross functional international team environment
  • Perform well under pressure
  • Must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Must have strong understanding of S&OP processes and demand planning factors model
  • Must have advanced Microsoft Office Excel skills
  • SAP APO experience is a must
