About Our Client
Michael Page have partnered with an outstanding engineering and manufacturing business. An established expert residing at the forefront of their field.
Out of their Doncaster site they are looking to expand their engineering capability by bringing in a new Design Engineer to assist with implementing the vision of this growing business.
As a Design Engineer, you will be expected to understand and contribute towards the design of new and existing products to be manufactured and implemented with a wide variety of real world applications.
As well as including the typical roles of a Design Engineer, this role also requires the ability to convert a design into production, considering cost effectiveness while maintaining an on time and in full quality structured manufacturing process.
The Successful Applicant
This is a key position within a growing team. As a result you must be comfortable in your role as a design engineer, the role needs someone who can apply free-thinking to improve and develop new products, guiding others where needed. You will be team centred and able to create effective internal working relationships by communicating effectively.
The Successful Design Engineer for this role must:
- Hold as a minimum a Bachelor's degree within an engineering field (Mechanical/Aerospace/Manufacturing/Design/Structural)
- Have minimum 2 years post graduate experience in the Design Engineering profession.
- An understanding of 2D/3D CAD (Packages various) - Primarily SolidWorks
- Experience within designing for a manufacturing business, preferably machining, fabrication/assembly.
