Job Description

  • Support the communications manager in developing and delivering the charity's digital communications strategy to increase awareness and engagement
  • Produce content in-house and commission externally when appropriate: written, film, audio, photography, graphics
  • Oversee the content management system for the charity's website supported by the communications assistant, keeping the site updated and optimised
  • Manage social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, to promote interaction and respond to comments
  • Create and implement a social media strategy and processes supported by the communications assistant for social media to deliver the digital communications strategy
  • Oversee Mailchimp and the content plan for emails and enewsletters

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in health/science communications
  • Experience of producing and editing films, photography and digital graphics
  • Excellent IT skills, including using Content Management Systems, email marketing systems, social media tools, HTML and web analytics
  • Proven ability to write and edit engaging copy for different audiences across varied communication channels
  • Excellent copy writing and proof reading skills
