Job Description

The role of the Digital Content Producer, based is Manchester, is to drive prospect and customer engagement across digital marketing channels by creating, measuring, and managing compelling marketing content.

This exciting, brand-new role is responsible for shaping and executing the digital marketing strategies across two brands. The Digital Content Producer will collaborate with key stakeholders in the businesses to craft content for their websites, email communications, social media, search and display ads, video, and offline copy as required.

You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Digital content marketing:
    • Build content plan for multiple audiences, deployed via multiple channels
    • Create and optimise compelling, user-centric content
    • Apply SEO copywriting best practices to grow organic traffic from target audiences
    • Write, test, and optimise calls-to-action
    • Manage product positioning content
    • Produce content in variety of formats (e.g., web, email, audio, video)
  • Digital campaign marketing:
    • Write compelling copy for campaign ads (paid search, paid social, display) and campaign landing pages
    • Craft segment-specific content for newsletters and automated email campaigns and paid social campaigns
    • Plan, write, and publish content for organic and paid social channels
  • Manage content approval processes as required
  • Collaborate with Sales teams to ensure alignment on content and campaigns
  • Support social selling activities
  • Measure content and channel performance, proposing and delivering optimisation as required
  • Ensure that digital channels adhere to brand guidelines
  • Ensure Sales and business leader buy-in to digital content and campaigns
  • Ensure that digital content and campaigns align to Sales collateral and messaging
  • Ensure that digital content and campaigns deliver on lead generation and revenue impact goals

The Successful Applicant

The successful Digital Content Producer will be based in their Manchester office and have experience in web content management, search marketing (paid and organic), digital campaign execution (including campaign performance measurement). They will also be able to demonstrate prior success working on simultaneous projects with multiple stakeholder groups. They will also need to be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Passionate about B2B marketing and communications
  • Performance-driven mindset, focused on business outcomes
  • Exceptional copywriting skills
  • Skilled at storytelling, particularly in a B2B context
  • Strong marketing campaign ideation and design capabilities
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with the principles and practice of SEO, digital copywriting, web design, user experience, and testing / conversion rate optimisation
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong planning and organising skills
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality of output
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong multitasking skills and comfort working in a fluid environment with evolving priorities; flexible and adaptable approach to work, tasks and demands
  • Presentation, negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Effective at building strong working relationships with employees of all levels as well as with third-party vendors
  • Willingness to participate in other tasks beyond the normal area of work, to assist other functions, roles and departments as circumstances require
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, journalism, or a related field; and / or a professional marketing qualification (e.g., CIM, IDM)
  • 3-5+ years in digital marketing or journalism roles
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with web content management platforms (e.g., WordPress)
  • Strong knowledge and proficiency with email / marketing automation tools
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge and proficiency with SEO keyword research practices and tools
  • Knowledge and proficiency with paid search platforms (Google Ads and Bing Ads) and paid social platforms (LinkedIn)
  • Knowledge and proficiency with CRM tools
  • Knowledge and proficiency with graphic design, video production
  • Knowledge and proficiency with AB testing / conversion rate optimisation principles and tools
