Digital Developer - Python, VBA, Excel - Warrington

This is a chance to join a growing team and ensure that the key systems and applications used internally and externally are the best they can be, with an eye for continuous improvement and user-centricity. The projects will be focused on improvements to the various systems that are used within the laboratories and offices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Improve the customer experience through operational excellence and innovation with particular focus on improving lead-time and communication
  • Identify process improvements through the use of new technologies
  • Hands on role to implement the identified improvements with responsibility for preparation, execution and aftercare of improvement projects
  • Preparing written procedures and providing training to users

The Successful Applicant

We are looking to identify a pragmatic, detail oriented Analyst/Developer who cares about working for a company whose services make a difference in protecting health and safety and promoting scientific improvements in the UK and globally.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with the ability to solve complex problems within Word & Excel
  • Programming ability in respect of VBA, RPA, Python
  • Knowledge of databases - Access or SQL
  • Project management skills to manage the process of providing excellent customer service and continuous improvement
  • Ability to gather and interrogate process data to identify areas for improvement, as well as being able to effectively present findings and results to colleagues at various levels within the organisation
  • Ability to map complex processes and understand where improvements can be made
  • Well developed and effective verbal and written communication skills used in working with peers and employees at all levels of the organization
  • Flexible and able to accommodate virtual meetings across a range of time zones
  • Must have valid driver's license, or ability to obtain prior to employment
