About Our Client
You will be working within the planning department as part of a well established consultancy who employ over 200 staff and operate UK wide. They specialise in the provision of development services to the UK's leading companies and work in a number of sectors including renewable energy, waste management, landfill regeneration, commercial and residential.
Job Description
Your role will involve supporting both existing and new clients who operate within a number of sectors. You will be reporting to the "Development Director" and duties will include:
- Strategic site identification, selection and options appraisal
- Feasibility studies and planning appraisals
- Design, 3D imagery and CAD drawings
- Scoping and screening assessments
- Planning applications
- Environmental impact assessment (EIA)
- Community and stakeholder engagement
- Planning appeals
- Local development plan reviews and appraisals
- Master planning and visual impact assessment
- Landscape design and restoration schemes
The Successful Applicant
To be successful in the role, you will be educated to degree level in Town/Country planning or related subject area. You will have a minimum of 5-10 years experience working for a similar consultancy and ideally have knowledge of Environmental impact assessments and the environmental aspects of planning. You will have working knowledge of the preparation and submission of planning applications, and the town and country planning system, and will will be confident liaising with clients and planning authorities. You will have excellent communication skills and take a proactive approach to your work.
