Black Country headquartered manufacturing business are looking for a dynamic and technically astute Product Manager to join their successful team. Sustained growth and development, coupled with an increase in demand has seen this exciting opportunity arise.

Job Description

This Product Manager role, is a broad position and will see you working within a team of 6. You will be required to build relationships with R+D, Purchasing, Marketing and Sales teams, pulling together expertise and delivering new Products from concept to finish. Other key duties will also include/but not be limited to:

  • Identification of market gaps, key value chain drivers, trends and customer profit potential.
  • Aligning product development with group strategies where possible.
  • Support and drive product sales through proactive activities to support the field based commercial team
  • Full commercialisation of new product launches.
  • Monitoring and tracking of KPI's, including: Turnover, Profitability, Stock Control. SKU Management, NPI delivery
  • Proactively represent the Company and its interests at Industry events.
  • Develop comprehensive service and training plans to deliver pre/post-sales support for customers and the commercial team
  • Understand and translate all industry standards and leverage to commercial advantage.

The Successful Applicant

Suitable candidates will:

- Have a proven track record working as Product Manager within a B2B organisation (candidates who have a background working within Electro/Mechanical fields will be preferred).
- Product Managers will need to have a good grasp of engineering, manufacturing and operations processes.
- Hold a degree/equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Be able to work autonomously and within a fast paced environment.
- Possess excellent communication and relationship building skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
