My client - an Oil and Gas organisation are looking for a Digital Security Executive and Board Reporting Lead - join their site in London remotely on an initial 10-month contract!

Job Description

The successful candidate for the Digital Security Executive and Board Reporting Lead - Oil and Gas 10-month contract in London or remote role will fulfil the following responsibilities

  • Lead the production ofcyber security reporting materials for Executives and the Main Board. This includes, but is not limited to, producing the following;
    • Regular reports tailored to fully meet the remit of each governance committee.
    • Regular reports reviewed annually and adjusted to ensure they remain appropriate.
    • Regular reports and hoc papers written and agreed with stakeholders with DS SVP and GRC VP input (limited to subject-matter content that only the DS SVP can provide).
  • Own end to end process for board and committee reporting for cyber. Maintain all artifacts and materials (TBC)
  • Ensure annual schedule of governance reports are cleaerly defined, documented and maintained.
  • Translate cyber metrics and data into written meaningful non-technical management information and stories relevant for communication to the appropriate audience, from bpLT executive board level down.
  • Coordinate and influence teams across DS to deliver the reporting services more effectively.
  • Pull together senior level briefings and recommendations to evolve the way we are reporting Cyber to the board and committees today.
  • Prepare materials, lead, and articulately present plans in storyboard meetings with the I&E DS SVP and GRC VP.
  • Coordinate multiple activities effectively and deliver to deadlines, often at short notice.
  • Effectively prioritise reporting requests and demand, including setting clear expectations on what can or cannot be delivered within certain timeframes.
  • Influence metrics and data prioritisation for existing products (e.g., Business Cyber Barometer) to support Board and Committee reporting requirements.
  • Make recommendations to improve reporting products and processes.
  • Review processes and engagements required across the service to continuously improve the way we deliver the service to our senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver ad hoc reporting requirements.
  • Mentor others.

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for the Digital Security Executive and Board Reporting Lead - Oil and Gas contract role the candidate must present evidence of the following:

  • Excellent communication skills. Proven ability to articulate themselves well and demonstrate excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to influence and present to management upwards, as well as across DS and externally to support service requirements.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Experience of influencing teams.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure and deliver within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills. Be able to build networks and co-ordinate with contributors face to face, virtually and across time zones.
  • Experience of leading teams is preferable.
  • Experience with agile ways of working
  • Cyber security experience preferable.
