About Our Client
Are you your clients' recruiter of choice?
What makes you stand out?
As we continuing to hire across our agency business in Leeds I wanted to outline a few key market dynamics from a recruiters perspective. Hopefully it helps you to decide whether this is the right role for you.
Talent drives the market. It is a market where demand outstrips supply meaning new jobs are plentiful but good people are always hard to find.
You have to enjoy the art of storytelling. It's a creative business and your knack of bringing a business, role and characters to life really matters.
Passion - you need to share a love of the industry. It's a tough place to be, there are easier careers but there's a bond and camaraderie rarely seen elsewhere.
Relationships - you've got to want to invest time in building and keeping relationships. It's a close knit community where reputation is everything. The majority of agencies are owner managed so trust has to be earned on both sides.
Pace - things move quickly, almost akin to a temp desk. Agencies win and lose clients all of the time and often this triggers talent needs. Being quick off the mark and proactive makes all the difference.
Finally and perhaps most important, see the bigger picture. You won't win every time but sometimes winning is seeing the bigger picture and playing a longer game.
At Page we've invested in people and their careers for 40 years. Unlike many recruiters it's team success that matters.
There are outfits where as a standalone recruiter you can earn more. That's cool and if that's your sole focus then maybe we're not for you.
We want to develop people so they maximise their potential and for that you've got to recognise that you've still got plenty to learn.
We've 70+ people in Leeds who are all part of a fun, hard working but well rewarded community.
It goes without saying that as an experienced recruiter you'll be well organised, a natural relationship builder and have a good, broad commercial brain.
You'll also be memorable for the right reasons. None of these are responsibilities but they are key to you being successful in this business.
The orthodox responsibilities are akin to those in a typical relationship led 360 recruitment role. The bits that matter are what you being to the table to make a real difference.

A true team player, someone who as an experienced recruiter, takes pride in what they do but also wants both individual and collective sales success.
