About Our Client

An excellent opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Manager to join a Nottingham based retailer, overseeing a property portfolio of 60 sites across the UK.

This is a field based role travelling to sites across the UK. However a presence in their Nottingham head office will also be required.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing Maintenance / Compliance for 60 sites across the UK including; head office, retail units and a distribution centre.

You will be responsible for managing planned preventative & reactive maintenance across the company's premises in order to maximise the value of its property assets and to minimise disruption to trade.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure the optimal maintenance of the properties.
  • Coordinate and manage repairs and maintenance projects, working closely with external contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of property maintenance.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, monitoring expenses, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Provide detailed reports on property conditions and maintenance activities.
  • Supervision of and allocation of duties to the Property Maintenance team
  • Ensure that repairs to existing properties are undertaken in a timely and efficient manner and where required competitive quotes obtained
  • Overseeing store refurbishments

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Surveyor / Manager or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of property maintenance and facilities management.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Experience managing external contractors
  • IOSH / NEBOSH certificate
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full, clean UK driving license
