Seeking an experienced Facilities Management Director to oversee the comprehensive management of a diverse portfolio of properties. The Facilities Management Director will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and enhancement of all facilities within the real estate development projects.

About Our Client

This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation who is involved in one of the biggest real estate developments in the KSA Region. The project is looking to build an economic zone 33 times the size of New York City. They will focus on a multitude of economic sectors such as: Energy, Water, Mobility, Biotech, Manufacturing, Media, Entertainment, Culture, Fashion, Tourism, Sport, Construction, Services, Health, Education and Livability. The project is backed directly by the government of Saudi Arabia with the vision of operating as an Independent Economic Zone to create healthy growth and wealth for the region, investors and residents.

Job Description



  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement strategic facilities management plans aligned with the company's objectives and industry best practices.
    • Collaborate with senior management to establish long-term goals for property maintenance, sustainability initiatives, and operational efficiency.


  2. Operational Management:
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of facilities.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective resolution of facility-related issues.
    • Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize the lifespan of building systems and equipment.


  3. Budgeting and Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the facilities management budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings through efficiency improvements, vendor negotiations, and alternative procurement strategies.


  4. Compliance and Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards governing facility operations.
    • Implement risk management protocols to mitigate potential liabilities and safeguard the well-being of occupants and visitors.


  5. Sustainability Initiatives:
    • Lead initiatives to enhance the sustainability and environmental performance of our properties, including energy efficiency upgrades, waste reduction programs, and green building certifications.


  6. Team Leadership and Development:
    • Recruit, train, and mentor a team of facilities management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, empowering them to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional results.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be strong in facilities management with a focus on a large real estate development. Strong leadership skills and management skills are required. More than 15 years' of experience within the facilities management field and a strong emphasis on best practise.
