Job Description

As a Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing building compliance and ensuring all facilities meet the necessary regulations and standards.
  • Overseeing day-to-day site operations, including maintenance, repairs, and security.
  • Developing and implementing effective facilities management policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating and supervising maintenance staff and external contractors.
  • Managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure cost-efficient operations.
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders, including school staff, suppliers, and local authorities.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing initiatives to enhance the school's facilities.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage a busy and diverse workload.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with staff, students, and external partners.
  • A background in site management or facilities management, demonstrating a thorough understanding of best practices and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to educational institutions.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • IWFM membership & a health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH would be advantageous

As the role is site based in Bath 5 days a week you will need to live within a reasonable commutable distance of Bath.

What's on Offer

You will receive a salary of circa £40,000 and also be enrolled on to a lucrative local government pension scheme.
