Job Description

The Financial Controller will be;

  • Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts to reporting deadlines
  • Preparing monthly management reports tracking financial performance including commentaries
  • Ensuring that robust financial procedures are in place to ensure that all financial information produced is accurate and the risk of mis-statement is removed
  • Driving and implementing new process improvements where identified to improve business reporting/control.Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a timely basis with variances cleared.
  • Managing and supporting finance staff including mentoring and development in order to achieve individual and finance team objectives.
  • Act as liaison with the company auditors.
  • Liaise with other members of the company to ensure that financial procedures and information provided is fit for purpose.
  • Ensuring that debtor and cash management is adhered to in line with company policy and procedures.
  • Ensuring that financial policies and procedures are in place and up to date in line with company quality management system.
  • Ensuring that the accounting systems allow timely and accurate information to be prepared.
  • Working with and assist the Finance Director with any project or ad-hoc work which may be required.Any other duties as reasonably requested.
