Finance Analyst

About Our Client

Large manufacturing business based in the Midlands.

Ensure financial controls are robustly maintained.
Month end accounting & reporting activities, typically journals, analysis, investigation.
Financial analysis of monthly results, project plans, ad-hoc requests (variances v budget, forecast and plans).
Support production of key performance indicators including unit costs & total delivered cost.
Assist the production of annual budgets, forecasts and business plans.
Capital investment project assessments, approval and reporting.
Financial administration, review & authorisation activities, including purchase orders, internal procedures, report pack preparation etc.
Attend and where necessary lead finance meetings with local managers, in person and remotely.
Process review and Continuous Improvement activities.

Broad accounting & reporting experience within a large company environment with demanding timetables.
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent.
Good IT & strong MS Office skills
Excellent interpersonal, communication & reporting skills
Proactive & organized approach to work & demonstrated problem solving experience.
Worked within manufacturing/logistics business
Familiar with a range of business operating systems.
Experience of working within newly created businesses or teams.
Working within multisite businesses.
Working knowledge of manufacturing/logistics variances, budgeting, forecasting, costing, inventory.
Process improvement / continuous improvement experience.
Supervisory experience
Good analytical skills (with large volumes of data).
Self-motivated, flexible & focused approach to work & problem solving.
Commercially astute.
Able to communicate financial data to non-finance personnel.
Capable of constructively challenging sources of data and results.
