An internationally renowned organisation steeped in history and reputation. This opportunity is an integral role within a large function based in Liverpool.

Job Description

Duties for the Finance and Operations Manager will be:

  • To strategically develop and lead effective internal financial controls and procedures, for a departmental budget in excess of £35M.
  • To lead and strategically develop the Finance and Operations Team
  • To lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the department, to be responsible for management of budgets, to report verbally and in writing on resource allocation and budget management, assessing financial implications of in year activity and make effective decisions.
  • To identify risks to the effective financial planning of the department and to develop and initiate appropriate actions for mitigation
  • Advise the Budget Managers ensuring they have the support required for effective budget management.
  • Advise the Director and Associate Directors on medium and longer term financial strategy, to maximise effective financial planning across the department.
  • To lead and/or participate in other cross-discipline project teams as required

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate for Finance and Operations Manager will display:

  • Substantial experience in a complex financial environment and senior administrative experience.
  • Strong managerial skills- ability to lead, develop and mentor a team
  • Excellent business partnering ability and exposure to working across different levels and departments
  • Substantial experience in a complex financial environment and senior administrative experience.
  • CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA qualified is essential
