Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Business Partner will be responsible for delivering high quality, timely financial analysis, reporting and insights at organisational and team level. Building strong relationships with budget holders across 38 Degrees, the Finance Business Partner will raise the level of institutional knowledge in finance, encourage good decision making through the provision of robust financial information and ensure that forward thinking financial insight is a key tool used by teams to achieve their goals.

  • Design and deliver regular team based financial reports, providing analysis and insight to budget holders that reflect business performance.
  • Evidence and present sound interpretations of the financial implications of achieving organisational, team and project goals.
  • Explore future financial opportunities for campaigns, teams and the organisation through scenario planning and business cases.
  • Build strong partnerships with budget holders that support financial accountability and clear control over the financial levers of business performance.
  • Work closely with their outsourced accounting partner and their internal Operations team to identify and implement opportunities to improve financial management and control
  • Lead on the annual budget process; preparing budgets and processes.
  • Assess the performance of the finance function to identify potential areas of risk or improvement; offering up ways to become more efficient through new finance systems.

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Extensive experience building relationships with key budget holders.
  • Previous experience in a management accountant/ FBP type role.
  • Experience presenting to the board- good communication skills is key.
  • An interest in social justice causes would be useful.

Location: London (hybrid working- 1 day in office per week)
Job Type: Full time
Package: 27 days holiday, 9-day fortnight (office closed every other Friday), good pension scheme + more.
