Job Description

Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager - 12 Month FTC - Global Hospitality Brand:

  • Provide financial advice to leadership and business units based on planning and analysis.
  • Ensure all deadlines are met and support the team to maximise efficiency and effectiveness of processes.
  • Manage the team to prepare variance analysis across balance sheet and P&L, and review findings including month on month, quarter on quarter and year on year P&L and B/S Analytical Review.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliation controls.
  • Manage relationship with all external and internal auditors and provide accurate responses to audit queries.
  • Ensure departmental objectives and workload priorities are followed and achieved throughout the team, providing feedback as necessary.
  • Support financial system implementation projects including participation in the design, testing and deployment of the system.
  • Provision of financial data to other departments as required.
  • Liaise with Tax on all tax related issues and support resolution of tax queries.
  • Work with key stakeholders and departments to deliver appropriate levels of support.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will be:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qaulified

  • Solid understanding of principles and practical application of GAAP and the ability to communicate this to stakeholders at all levels

  • Intercompany and settlement knowledge

  • Understanding of Treasury Statements

  • Strong problem solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems; ability to help develop problem solving skills among direct reports and other team members as appropriate.

  • Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritise and implement all elements required for team to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals.

  • Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple concurrent demands and appropriately prioritise responsibilities.

  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage details through to completion and ensure project deadlines are met.

  • Experience communicating and negotiating with all levels of management and external customers
