About Our Client
My client is an SME healthcare consultancy based in Reading with a brilliant ethos and values. This is a caring yet very fast paced and commercial business, seeking a Finance Manager to add strategic financial direction for the growth of the firm, as well as manage the team of 4.
Job Description
The main responsibilities of the Finance Manager are:
- full responsibility for the management accounts
- implement reporting infrastructure, bringing the full accounting process in-house
- budgeting and forecasting
- variance analysis
- production of month, quarter and year end accounts
- dealing with auditors
- management of 4 in the finance team
- reporting capex to directors
- financial risk analysis
- deal with contractors and all external stakeholders when needed
The Successful Applicant
You must be incredibly commercial and deadline driven, working quickly and efficiently.
Worked in partnership with local authorities as well as commercial businesses.
Communication skills and integrity are paramount.
Adaptable management style
Be able to "sense-check" decisions made by the SLT and advise on financial strategy
Be able to work in an SME environment, mucking-in with all finance tasks when needs
Have sound knowledge of payroll
Background working in the healthcare sector would be ideal but not necessary
If you have experience of working in practice or worked in an SME environment and set up reporting infrastructure, that would be the ideal.
