A growing chain of academy schools based in W. Yorkshire with a great benefits package is recruiting a finance manager. This is a great opportunity for someone who has wanted to make the move into the education and schools sector, but doesn't have the sector experience. You will use your accountancy experience to add value across a number of key areas of delivery that will include:
Be the key finance support contact for both the academy trust and for this specific partner school.
Contribute towards the development and effective operation of financial systems and procedures.
Budget setting and monitoring, costing activities and development of budget profiles.
Management and development for a small finance team.
The Successful Applicant
Candidates will be fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA) and with experience of managing a team, either as a finance manager or at least have management experience of managing a number of direct reports.
Experience of working within education or schools would be helpful, but not essential, although working as a key partner to this school you'll be comfortable in getting involved in the day to day life of a school environment.

- A salary of c£46,000 - £53,000 depending upon relevant experience.
