Job Description

As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for the following:

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic decision-making
  • Assist in the development of departmental budgets, analysing variances and recommending corrective actions
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimise financial performance and support operational needs
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to improve efficiency and profitability
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, standards, and reporting requirements, working closely with internal and external auditors
  • Assess financial risks and implement appropriate controls and mitigation strategies to protect company assets and interests
  • Streamline and improve financial systems, processes, and controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, shareholder representatives, department heads, and project managers, providing financial insights and support to drive informed decision-making

The Successful Applicant

To be considered for this Finance Manager position you must have:

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualification
  • Experience within a SME or start-up business
  • Demonstrable experience adding value to financial data
  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders and ideally PE shareholders
  • Strong desire to work in a start-up environment
