About Our Client

Our client is an excellent business within the Renewable Energy sector with an innovative product.

Job Description

  • Develop and oversee financial reporting within MRE, develop good reporting procedures.
  • Produce management accounts monthly, working closely with the division finance manager and parent Group finance team.
  • Assist with producing monthly results for discussion with senior management within Business Unit reviews.
  • Oversee AR, AP and banking functions within finance team.
  • Promote good company governance within MRE.
  • Meet reporting deadlines provided by Group.
  • Ensure that accounting information is prepared using appropriate accounting policies and estimates and that these are understood in detail.
  • Prepare year end financial requests for Group and group auditors.
  • Manage the annual budget process including the collation of information and preparation of reports, reporting to division finance manager.
  • Daily cash management and weekly cash forecasting.
  • Liaise with group tax function in managing tax risk.
  • Assist Group Tax to ensure corporation tax returns are prepared and submitted within the deadlines.
  • Ensure that the VAT returns are completed within deadlines and that this is reconciled to the ledger on a monthly basis.
  • Management of monthly payroll & submission

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified accountant - CA/ACCA/CIMA will consider Qualified by experience
  • Industry experience preferable
  • Experience of operating in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills
  • Experience in managing a team Logical thinking
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experienced communicator across the business, developing good working relationships within the team
  • Good excel skills
