Job Description
Finance Process Improvement Accountant accountabilities;
- Work to identify process improvements projects that enable finance and business efficiency
- Help to identify the finance and human resources needed to implement improvements
- Assist with the maintenance and management of the overall project list including prioritisation
- Manage key projects using project management metholodogy to identify actions, track progress and assign owners, in conjuction with the Groups Project Management office
- Help to develop and implemented the Finance improvement strategy
- Support key decision makers through critical research and analysis
- Ensure highest standards of project governance are in place
- Ensure communication of change is rolled out to all involved parties
- Help to prepare business cases for major change projects with significant capital investment
- Help to prepare, maintain and manage the financial accounting and control manual
- Support the implementation of enhanced reporting frameworks including the use of technologies
- Conduct special projects including business plan and proforma development as required
- Work closely with external and internal audit on assiting with the resolution of audit points that relate to process or systematic failures
The Successful Applicant
Candidate profile;
- CA/ ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA qualified etc
- Prior working knowledge of implementing processes
- Strong commercial awareness, business understanding and understanding of financial processes that underpin the business
- Prior experience in an internal audit/ risk assurance environment
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Committed to adding value
- Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiar with JD Edwards (desirable)
- Project Management Qualification (desirable)
