My plc client is a premium drinks company in Glasgow which manufactures, markets and distributes branded beer, cider, wine, spirits, and soft drinks across the UK and Ireland. They have a track record offering career progression and operate a hybrid/ flexible working model.

Job Description

Finance Process Improvement Analyst responsibilities;

  • Assist the process improvement team with analysis and insight to identify process improvement projects that enable finance and business efficiency
  • Assist with the maintenance and management of the overall project list including prioritisation.
  • Assist with managing and implementing key finance projects using project management methodology to identify actions, assign owners and track progress, in conjunction with the Group's Project Management Office where applicable.
  • Support communication on changes to finance teams and wider business
  • Support key decision-makers through critical research and analysis
  • Help to prepare business cases for major change projects with significant capital investment.
  • Help to prepare, maintain and enhance the financial accounting and control manual and process maps and design of new processes
  • Support the implementation of enhanced reporting frameworks including the use of technologies.

The Successful Applicant

Candidate profile;

  • Recently qualified with a professional accounting qualification (CA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.)
  • Degree level qualification in relevant subject (mathematics or statistics would be advantageous)
  • Prior experience in implementation of process improvements (e.g. in internal audit or a process improvement function)
  • Strong understanding of basic financial controls
  • Strong analytical skills, a methodical approach to work and documentation and a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work cross functionally
  • Motivated by adding value
  • Dedicated to providing user friendly and useful information to commercial teams. Strong work ethic.
  • Previous analytical experience in financial analysis, accounting or related discipline.
  • Advanced level proficiency in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills
