Job Description

  • Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide expert advice on tax-related matters to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to resolve queries.
  • Support the preparation of statutory accounts with a focus on tax disclosures.
  • Develop and implement efficient tax processes and controls.
  • Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other indirect tax filings.
  • Contribute to financial planning and forecasting from a tax perspective.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Accountant - Tax should have:

  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations, particularly within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tax-related tasks with accuracy.
  • Experience collaborating with auditors and external advisors.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and tax compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
