Job Description

  • Manage and oversee all financial operations, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations (FFR, & FVA) and organisational policies.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance to provide actionable insights.
  • Lead and support the accounting team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Utilise financial systems such as Orchard, SUN Accounts, and Vision Excel effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align financial strategies with organisational objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • Fully qualified - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA
  • Experience in the Social Housing sector or a similar environment.
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as Orchard, SUN Accounts, and Vision Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving financial challenges.
