Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsLeading a small finance teamHighly visible FC roleAbout Our ClientA niche business services SMEJob DescriptionManagement of the financial accounting team and day to day running of the finance functiono Ensuring appropriate and adequate financial controls and processes are in place to safeguard the assets of the business and ensure completeness of all liabilities, including the production of monthly balance sheet reconciliationso Timely and efficient production of accurate monthly management accounts and KPIso Oversee the monthly and weekly payrollso Drive cashflow through effective working capital management and credit controlo Treasury management and covenant complianceo Manage foreign currency exposure and hedge as appropriateo Manage the submission of all statutory returnsEnsure compliance with financial reporting standards (IFRS) and all other regulatory reporting requirementsWork with Group to deliver audited statutory accounts.Production of weekly cash flow forecasts, annual budgets, quarterly trading forecasts and longer-term business plan projectionsProduction of revenue and profitability analysisAdopt a business partnering approach, working with all other areas of the business to provide accurate and timely information in order to facilitate effective and timely decision makingRespond to ad-hoc reporting requirements as requiredOwn and contribute to short-term and on-going projects, including:o Utilising new technologies to stream line month end procedureso Liaising with the business to identify business issues and implement solutions The Successful ApplicantWe are looking for a qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant who has ideally got a background/qualified within practice. This could be a brilliant first step into industry for someone looking to move from practice. You will ideally have a good level of experience within Financial Control and Management Reporting. You will be comfortable managing a small team, mentoring and developing to their best ability. The ideal candidate will have experience working within smaller entrepreneurial businesses, be hands on and have great attention to detail. You will have excellent communication skills and be a strong business partner with the ability to work with all levels of people across the organisation. You will be process and deadline driven with a keen eye for detail.
