Job Description

  • Overseeing the company's accounting and financial systems
  • Implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports to senior management
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
  • Developing budgets and financial plans for the company
  • Analysing financial performance and forecast longer-term horizons
  • Collaborating with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
  • Tracking the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
  • Balance sheet preparation to a strict deadline
  • Management of a small team
  • Managing the sales tax submission processes
  • Continuous process improvement
  • Preparation of management accounts and leading year end audit process

The Successful Applicant

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • Professional Accountancy qualification or equivalent
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong understanding of business tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic planning skills
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Continuous improvement mentality and an eye for detail
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
