SUMMARY:
Technology Operations is responsible for delivering Service Excellence while maintaining technical infrastructure including its data centre's, cloud, networks and desktop computing environment. The finance team is responsible for business partnering with the Technology Operations Leadership and providing all financial information to support the team in meeting its objectives and drive informed business decision-making.
The role supports Business Partnering of a which ensures finance strategy is delivered through robust budget and forecasts with insightful analysis for decision making. The successful candidate should have proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment and collaborate across finance teams to provide robust, valuable insight.
This FinTech house brings together our product development, operations, digital and business technology, cyber security, architecture and technology program management groups from around the world.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Business partnering - you will develop trusted strategic relationships with the leadership and their teams, Sourcing and Finance partners to achieve shared business goals
- Financial Planning and Analysis - you will lead planning and forecasting cycles, identifying risks and opportunities and providing insightful commentary on BaU, Investment and Productivity activity, partnering the leadership in decision-making
- Commercial support - you will prepare business cases to support productivity initiatives and support commercial vendor negotiations, engaging with key stakeholders to ensure the business invests cash wisely
- Operational improvement - you will actively seek out opportunities to improve process and solve barriers to execution and encourage others to do the same. You will proactively develop skills and capabilities to keep pace with our opportunities
- Team management - you will set ambitious goals through the performance enablement framework, supporting them through development planning and coaching to achieve their goals and career plans. You will set priorities for your team in collaboration with our finance partners.
The Successful Applicant
- Experience in a Finance role, preferably but not essentially in a Technology or FinTech environment
- Proficiency in collaborating and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex global business environment
- Work effectively in teams and across functions of the business, influencing stakeholders
- Able to convey complex financial information to both finance and non-finance partners
- Experience of change programmes and driving change
- Strong customer-focus with a commercial attitude, communication and analytical skills
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects with competing demands for resource
- Expert level with MS Office
- Professional Finance Qualification - e.g. MBA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
