About Our Client
An award winning, inquisitive business, with a fantastic culture, based in the Chester area is looking for a FP&A Analyst, on a fixed term contract for a minimum of 12 months. This role would suit someone with FP&A experience or offers a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to get FP&A experience
The main objective of the role is to prepare, analyse and present regular and ad hoc operational information (both financial and non financial) to operations teams, in order to make informed strategic and operational decisions making.
This will include:
Preparation of weekly and monthly Operational and Key Performance Indicators.
Analysis and explanation of weekly and monthly movements in key income streams for the business and comparison to budget.
Assisting in compiling weekly KPI reports.
Preparation of various monthly KPI reporting and presentations for input into the Group Management accounts.
Preparation and detailed analysis of monthly reporting to highlight results for operational teams.
Maintain and adjust the annual budget to reflect the impact of Capex.
Provide support to the Commercial team as necessary by providing key data analysis on volumes and margins.
Maintain and develop excel model as used by the operations teams.
Be instrumental in the development of FP&A reporting and liaise with the IT team to develop background systems and front end reporting.
Assist with any ad-hoc reporting, analysis or planning.
The Successful Applicant
You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent ) and have experience in either FP&A or management accounts.
In addition you will have Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build complex models. (Power BI skills would be desirable).
Good communication skills are essential with the ability to explain and simplify financial information, to non financial personnel to support the decision making process.
