About Our Client
A large and well established retail business based in Stoke are looking to recruit a FP&A Manager in to a newly created role. They are a fresh thinking company, with lots of energy and passion, on a big mission to give our customers the best service in the marketplace. They have a hybrid working model and are based in an accessible location with free parking on site.
The FP&A Manager role reports in to the Group Financial Controller and this role will own and manage financial budgets and forecasts to a high standard, reviewing and challenging as appropriate. To provide finance-focused analytical support to the business and to ensure annual price controls are set in compliance with the requirements of the Regulator and aligned to the business' key financial and commercial objectives. You will primarily be concerned with designing and running group budgeting and forecasting processes in addition to ensuring budget/forecasts are robust, challenging and aligned to strategy and long-term business planning and assist in preparing analytical insights for the Executive Team and Board, detailing the drivers of budgeted costs/revenue and variances to actuals.
The Successful Applicant
You will need to be either ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with previous in a role that had exposure to commercial analysis. Experience in costing and pricing analysis will also be benefits. You will need to have excellent communication skills both written and verbal as you will be collaborating with other areas of the business on a regular basis in this role. You will also need to be technically sound and be a strong MS Excel user (experience of macros and SQL isn't essential but desirable).
