Job Description
- Provide leadership, support and guidance to all of company's sites in their trade operations related to: import/export compliance management, licenses, training, auditing, improvement strategies and process redesign
- Support global and regional compliance requirements in maintaining continuity with corporate global trade compliance direction
- Works closely with company's departments for evaluating complex international business requirements, products and strategies to ensure compatibility with trade law and to access risk vulnerabilities
- Execute and implement initiatives in establishing a continuous trade compliance improvement philosophy and culture with a strong internal and external customer focus
- Maintain a leadership role in developing and overseeing programs and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable trade regulations
- Provide education and training to associates
- Own and manage SAP GTS application, in coordination with Trade Compliance Automation SME
- Supervise and monitor customs broker compliance
- Interface with government agencies on compliance, licensing and jurisdictional matters
- Act as a principal contact during audits and investigations
The Successful Applicant
- At least 7+ years of experience in international trade-related experience
- Bachelor or master degree in international trade
- Demonstrated strong functional knowledge of EAR, ITAR and OFAC trade control regulations and strong functional knowledge of Regulation (EU) No 388/2012 and Regulation (EEC) No 2913/92
- Fully familiarized with international trade & compliance
- Experience in leading the development, implementation and execution of programs to address the international trade process needs of large multi-national corporations
- Operating in Healthcare or MedTech industry trade is a strong asset
- Have a flexible can-do attitude
- Have good knowledge of IT tools Document management systems, and MS office
- Be able to travel
