Job Description
The Group Accountant will be responsible for:
- Preparation of statutory accounts including all year end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and other audit schedules for ~ 50 group entities
- Assist with preparation of group consolidated accounts
- Liaison with external auditors (providing requested support and closing out queries)
- Review of tax computations for audit purposes
- Liaison with tax advisors (e.g. providing analyses of tax sensitive accounts)
- General ledger maintenance (including re-charges, working alongside treasury on record-keeping, housekeeping matters)
- Reconciliation of inter-company accounts
- Debt service reporting, including analysis of forward looking (12- 15 months)
- Liaison with overseas offices
The Successful Applicant
The Group Accountant must be:
- Technically proficient, qualified ACA/ACCA
- 1 year+ PQE, with good working knowledge of FRS 102 (New UK GAAP).
- Some knowledge of the property industry would be advantageous
