The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting and statutory compliance for the UK group of companies.

The company has operations in Longford, Fermoy and Enniskillen in Ireland; Troon, Edinburgh and Invergordon in GB, they are renowned for their innovative approach in producing renewable energy solutions.

Job Description

  • Manage and improve Group financial performance and planning.
  • Handle all aspects of financial reporting and statutory compliance and consolidation.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues.
  • Ensure the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting within the energy and natural resources sector.
  • The role will involve working with other departments, in multiple locations, including the sales, operations and forestry teams.
  • Develop and manage financial controls within the accounting department.
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new strategies and regulatory actions.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Group Financial Accountant should have:

  • A degree in finance, accounting or a related field.
  • ACCA, ACA, CIMA or other relevant finance qualification
  • Proven experience in strategic planning and financial analysis.
  • Knowledge of the energy and natural resources industry.
  • Strong understanding of consolidating accounts.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and advanced MS Excel skills and or Navision or Great Plains
  • Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
