About Our Client

My client are an established non-food FMCG business. They have been producing market leading products for over 50 years and sell their products in over 45 countries. This is a new position reporting into the Marketing Director, helping to develop the digital marketing strategy and lead a digital team.

Job Description

You should have experience and a big passion for digital technologies, Ecommerce and utilising different digital marketing channels. As the digital marketing expert, you will help the wider team to broaden their knowledge of digital marketing and act as a coach and mentor for the Digital Marketing team.

* In collaboration with the Marketing Director and wider key stakeholders, you will define the digital marketing strategy for the organisation and lead a Digital team of three to execute this strategy with excellence

* As part of the digital marketing strategy, align with the Ecommerce National Account Manager to set an Ecommerce channel strategy and influence the delivery of the activities within this on time and in full, including the setting and measurement of KPI's

* Responsible for owning and developing all digital corporate channels both internal and external, aligning with the marketing and Customer Account Support team as required
* Leading the Digital team to deliver the day-to-day global performance of end-toend customer journey, assuring you measure, optimise, improve, and personalise our digital demand generation programs bringing out the best of
people, technology, and data

* Identify current and future trends to ensure that the digital marketing strategy is fresh by staying up to date with the latest innovations, technologies, changes in competition, and shifts in the digital landscape. Translate these insights into commercial opportunities and future strategy
* Lead digital innovation projects, and pioneer new ways to engage with customers digitally
* Effectively lead the integration and communication of the digital marketing strategy within Marketing and across the business
* Evaluation of ad-hoc Global digital opportunities and building business cases for these as appropriate adopting a 'test and learn' methodology
* Lead process improvements, automation, and technology onboarding to improve and upscale marketing programs
* Use data for reporting on marketing results, impact and recommendations for future action and investment
* Manage the digital marketing budget
* Manage the hiring, development, and retention of digital marketing talent

The Successful Applicant

* 5+ years FMCG experience in digital marketing. 3+ years in a digital management position (managed direct reports)
* Extensive knowledge of digital marketing within fast paced high growth environments
* Experience of developing the right Digital marketing strategies to achieve business objectives
* Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and deliver results
* Ability to lead the Digital Marketing team in its day-to-day activities and develop talent
* Experience working with senior management (Directors and Board-level) with proficiency in presenting recommendations for marketing spend and projected return on investment (ROI)

What's on Offer

Competitive salary up to £75,000 (dependent on experience)

Flexible working (travel to Hertfordshire office will be required)
