Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic policies to enhance equity and access to justice.
  • Lead and manage initiatives that promote inclusivity within the legal sector.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address barriers to justice.
  • Provide expert advice on equity and access-related matters to senior leadership.
  • Oversee the monitoring and evaluation of policies to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
  • Represent the organisation at external events, forums, and consultations.
  • Prepare and present reports on equity and access to justice initiatives.
  • Manage a team to deliver on key objectives effectively and efficiently.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Equity and Access to Justice should have:

  • A strong background in policy development preferably in a regulated sector
  • Proven expertise in equity, diversity, and inclusion practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
  • A deep understanding of access to justice issues and legal frameworks.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification.
