About Our Client
Michael Page Engineering are working in partnership with a market leading Processing Chemical Manufacturing business based in Northamptonshire. They are looking for a Head of Engineering to support site growth, drive improvement, raise the standards on site and support some exciting capital projects.
Our customer has some exciting plans for its facility and is also driving new product introduction to drive more market share. This is a great time to be joining this forward thinking business
Job Description
The successful applicant must be able to manage a multiple discipline engineering team in a high volatile environment and set out a clear vision for their department
they must also
- Have experience in driving HSE improvements in a COMAH or high hazard facility
- Knowledge of delivering multiple projects varying from new machinery installation (Turn key) to smaller site improvements
- Knowledgeable in working with control systems
- An engaging and coaching style of leadership
- Proven track record in delivering on a robust maintenance and reliability schedules
- A passion to increase site performance and provide key technical input to the wider business
The Successful Applicant
The Head of Engineering must have:
- A Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering
- Experience of managing Engineering Teams (over 15 people preferred)
- Knowledge of COMAH/ATEX/DSEAR
- Exposure of driving a Process Safety agenda
- A driven mentality focused on manufacturing excellence
- Worked in Chemical or processing environments
- Open communicator
