About Our Client
Our client is a one of the largest academy trusts in the south east of England. As Head of Estates, you will be leading a small professional team on a broad range of projects and professional works, across a number of buildings/premises.
Job Description
- Support the Director of Finance & Operations, and Directors of Education in major capital building projects.
- Lead and manage the Estates team, allocate work streams to team members and line manage the team.
- Take the lead on planned maintenance and capital investment in the property portfolio, developing an agile strategic approach to reactive and planned preventative maintenance.
- Lead on management, budget formulation, monitoring and implementation of the Trust's annual planned maintenance and improvement capital works programme.
- Develop and implement Estates performance measurement initiatives that will provide KPIs that can be reported to senior management
- Lead on related Health and Safety matters relevant to the Estates department.
- Ensure safe systems of work are in place with regards to works carried out by external contractor
The Successful Applicant
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a chartered professional qualification in a property-related discipline
e.g. architecture, building, surveying or property management. - Hold membership of an appropriate professional body.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully managing planned and reactive maintenance, capital and building works programmes and building projects.
- Proven ability to make effective results-driven decisions based on relevant data and information.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for business use.
