Job Description

  • Overseeing all financial operations within the museum
  • Managing budget planning and implementation
  • Creating and presenting financial reports to stakeholders
  • Ensuring financial compliance and risk management
  • Leading and developing the finance team
  • Collaborating with other department heads to align financial and organisational goals
  • Advising on strategic financial planning
  • Representing the museum in financial negotiations and discussions

The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Head of Finance should have:

  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA
  • Extensive experience in financial management, particularly within a museum or similar institution
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing a team
  • Excellent budgeting and financial reporting skills
  • Experience in strategic planning and financial forecasting
  • Strong negotiation skills and a diplomatic approach to financial discussions
