Job Description
Functional leadership:
- Day to day running of the UK finance team (2 FTE direct reports)
- Day to day running of the UK supply chain function (1 FTE direct report)
Financial Planning:
- Establishing close working relationship with the sales and marketing team.
- Owning the financial budget and forecast cycles for the UK business
- Build and sense check forecasts with sales teams for major customers
- Incorporating base and promotional sales forecasts & marketing activations
Demand Planning:
- Creation of a SKU based demand plan for a rolling 12 months adhering to a set of stock cover parameters
- Liaison with internal stakeholders to produce a production plan for the year
Supply Chain:
- Performance management of logistics partners to ensure the smooth flow of inventory from warehouse to customer
- Negotiating terms and prices with suppliers and maintaining cost effective practises
- Dealing with day-to-day problems and finding resolutions to minimise customer impact
Reporting:
- Daily & weekly sales volume reporting
- Month end sales, discount and spend reporting
- Customer and channel profitability analysis
Audit & Control
- Managing the discount and sales & marketing accrual cycles
- Ensuring the integrity of internal controls for purchase orders and invoice processing
- Working closely with our Audit partner to ensure accountancy standards compliance
The Successful Applicant
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified 5 Years mins Post Qualification Experience
- Working within an FMCG business with experience of both local trading and international supply
- Experience of larger and SME size business
- Finance business partnering experience
- Procurement/supply chain experience
- Experience in a financial team within FMCG environments, either wholesale or retail facing
- Experience with customer planning & forecasting, includes off invoice discount management
- Accounting qualification with +5 years in reporting & analysis with proven information presentation skills
- Strong analytical skills, keen eye for detail and highly numerate supported by advanced excel skills.
- Experience in managing procurement/supply chain projects
What's on Offer
- Base £70,000 - £80,000
- Bonus up to 20%
- Pension 5% + 5% from company
