The Head of Forensic Investigations will lead teams which oversee and manage complex financial investigations. This role requires expertise in accounting and finance to ensure compliance and uphold professional standards.
  • Conduct forensic investigations following reports of professional misconduct.
  • Hybrid working. 10% London weighting allowance

Job Description

  • Lead and manage forensic investigations into financial misconduct and non-compliance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve investigative processes and outcomes.
  • Oversee the preparation of detailed reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in investigations.
  • Provide expert advice on accounting and finance-related matters within the public sector.
  • Ensure all investigations comply with regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Manage and mentor a team of forensic investigators to achieve their full potential.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging risks in forensic investigations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Forensic Investigations should have:

  • A professional qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Proven expertise in leading forensic investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks in accounting and finance.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
