Job Description

  • Develop, propose and execute the Company's technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and market trends.
  • Define and prioritise the technology roadmap to drive innovation, maintain a competitive edge and deliver system efficiencies.
  • Make critical decisions regarding the selection of technologies, architecture, and infrastructure to support scalability, security and cost efficiency.
  • Manage and negotiate relationships and contracts with 3rd party
  • Oversee the consistent, smooth and effective running of the Network LAN / WAN Infrastructure and all IT
  • Oversee the IT desk support services and ensure high standard of delivery and customer service satisfaction from the business, through line management and development of one IT Support
  • Drive innovation and stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into the company's operations, IT services and products. Developing associated standard operating
  • Continuously review existing systems, propose tailored strategies for positive change, and expertly lead execution of improvements/cost reductions.
  • Investigate and provide swift and efficient solutions for organizational IT issues, giving due consideration to the cost and long term implications.
  • Provide insightful IT dashboard and analytics aimed to track and enhance
  • Collaborate closely with the Digital team to define product requirements and ensure timely and successful delivery of project deliverables - as well as - achieve ecommerce objectives
  • Manage Group and business unit IT budgets, planning and development for the infrastructure in line with the growth of the company.
  • Routinely carry out GAP analysis on the business' IT tech and team to ensure that there is adequate capability to reach future business goals.
  • Liaise regularly with the Ops Board, Senior Leadership team as well as systems
  • Lead the technical development, implementation and support of our software systems. This includes creating project timelines, ensuring that projects are on time and within budget, updating stakeholders on progress, improving existing processes and workflows.
  • Develop and maintain technology-related risk and crisis management

The Successful Applicant

● TECHNICAL KNOW-HOW

  • Deep understanding and experience implementing and updating:
    • Cloud technologies such as AWS and Microsoft Azure
    • Network technologies such as Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto Firewalls
    • Enterprise Storage Technologies (SAN/NAS etc)
    • Device Management and security tools
    • Systems Management software
  • Understanding of software licensing, particularly Software As A Service models and enterprise licensing schemes like Microsoft Volume Licensing
  • Extensive experience of solution architecture



● TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP:

  • Strategically minded technology leader with strong business acumen and proven success in leading IT services.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills that facilitate strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and brings an engaging leadership style that achieves buy-in and drives action.
  • Proven experience in supporting e-commerce strategy development and implementation, acting as the internal consultant for digital partners on platform build and enhancements
  • Proven experience in development data management strategies - supporting e-commerce and CRM strategies, as well as, business growth and performance reporting

  • Brings a deep understanding of the available tools/technologies to protect business operations and company value.
  • Ability to determine relevance of risks to the business, and to effectively mitigate
  • Analytical, and skilled at identifying/addressing opportunities that leverage competitive advantage by consulting on technology strategy planning and developing roadmaps.



● COMPLEX PROJECT MANAGEMENT:

  • A real starter finisher who is comfortable with autonomy and gets things done, with previous experience in leading projects, utilising either agile or waterfall methodologies
  • Experienced at full cycle, high priority, project management, with a consistent record of delivering successful conclusions to time, cost, resources and quality objectives.
