Job Description

As the Head of Logistics you will,

  • Lead and manage all aspects of logistics operations, through the support of 3PL partners to cover, service levels, commercials, and capacity uplift, across the following areas,
    • 3PL contracts
    • Inbound and outbound transport
    • Storage
    • Co-packing
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimise supply chain efficiency and minimise costs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure inventory levels meet business requirements.
  • Monitor and improve KPIs related to logistics and supply chain performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transport providers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Introduce and manage innovative technologies to streamline logistics processes, and provide clarity through effective reporting
  • Provide leadership to the logistics team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head of Logistics should have:

  • Proven expertise in logistics and supply chain management within the FMCG industry.
  • A strong understanding of inventory control, distribution, and transportation processes, ideally gained from working within a 3PL, and then transferring to a 3PL management role (manufacturer or retailer)
  • Track record leading and developing teams and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Proficiency in systems and the ability to interpret and present data to support actions, supplier performance reviews, and strategy
